Best Marvel Snap Decks Tier List (May 2024) (2024)

The Best Marvel Snap Decks

Welcome to our Marvel Snap best decks tier list where I try to cover all of the top decks in the game. In this article, I’ll be covering what I believe are the best decks in the meta, with a focus on high rank Infinite.

The month of May is about to close, and the meta continues to shake up. The recent Balance Patch changed quite a bit of cards, but overall, the meta isn’t too different from before.

While Leech was hit with a nerf going back to 5-cost, the card still seems to perform quite well. The release of Sasquatch is also putting Bounce at the forefront.

Bounce was already gaining traction this month, and a new finisher makes the deck even more appealing. The reduction in Leech has also resulted in Shang-Chi becoming a more meta-relevant card.

If you’re a Marvel fan in multiple gaming genres, be sure to also check out our Marvel Rivals tier list.

Marvel Snap Deck Tier List

Let’s get right into the tier list. Be sure to use the table of contents on the sidebar to jump to different decks.

  • S – Hela
  • S – Bounce
  • S – Junk
  • S – Blink Leech
  • A – Phoenix Force
  • A – Loki
  • A – Patriot
  • B – Namora
  • B – Cerebro 3
  • B – Shuri
  • B – Destroy

Disclaimers

Overall, the decks in this list will be more catered to Ladder than Conquest. Conquest is a very high skill format, but most players seem to prefer Ladder now that there’s Infinite ranks.

Lastly, there are many more deck archetypes that we would consider to be C tier. While I would put some decks in C tier, the list would get too long if I put every single archetype I can think of. As such, we’re mainly showing some decks in B, the semi-competitive/niche decks.

Hela – S-Tier

Hela Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQmxhZGUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkNvbGxlZW5XaW5nIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJMYWR5U2lmIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJEcmFjdWxhIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJKdWJpbGVlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJCbGFja0NhdCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQmxpbmsifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkhlbGEifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik1hZ25ldG8ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkdpZ2FudG8ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkluZmluYXV0In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJEZWF0aCJ9XX0=
  • 1-cost:Blade
  • 2-cost:Colleen Wing
  • 3-cost: Lady Sif
  • 4-cost: Jubilee, Black Cat
  • 5-cost:Blink
  • 6+cost: Hela, Magneto, Giganto, The Infinaut, Death

Commentary:

Hela is back toward the top of the meta with Leech out of the picture. There never was truly an answer to Hela, and she reigns supreme as the best combo deck.

Blink provides a lot of high roll potential, even if you don’t draw into Hela. While other decks can definitely compete with Hela, the deck’s existence pushes many “midrange” decks out of the meta.

Bounce – S-Tier

Bounce Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSG9vZCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiS2l0dHlQcnlkZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQW5nZWxhIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJCZWFzdCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRmFsY29uIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNeXN0ZXJpbyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQmlzaG9wIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIaXRNb25rZXkifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkVsc2FCbG9vZHN0b25lIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTaGFuZ0NoaSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTW9ja2luZ2JpcmQifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNhc3F1YXRjaCJ9XX0=
  • 1-cost: The Hood, Bast, Kitty Pryde, Nico Minoru
  • 2-cost: Angela, Beast, Falcon, Mysterio
  • 3-cost: Bishop, Hit-Monkey, Elsa Bloodstone
  • 4-cost:Shang-Chi
  • 5-cost:Mockingbird
  • 6-cost:Sasquatch

Commentary:

When Sage released, Bounce shot back up toward the top of the meta. With Sasquatch now released, bounce has another variation that is potentially just as good or better.

Bounce excels at putting a ton of Power on the board. Not only that, but Bounce decks can split their Power between locations very flexibly, making it hard for opponents to read you.

It’s unclear whether Sasquatch makes the deck better. Players are mainly using him as a new toy, but the performance is promising. Either way, Bounce has multiple slight tweaks and variations, making it even harder to play against.

Junk – S-Tier

Junk Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiRGVjayA2IiwiQ2FyZHMiOlt7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFubmloaWx1cyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQ2Fubm9uYmFsbCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQ2FybmFnZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRGFyZWRldmlsIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJEZWJyaWkifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ikhvb2QifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkplZmZUaGVCYWJ5TGFuZFNoYXJrIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNb2NraW5nYmlyZCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTXlzdGVyaW8ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlByb2Zlc3NvclgifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNlbnRyeSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiV2hpdGVXaWRvdyJ9XX0=
  • 1-cost: The Hood
  • 2-cost: Carnage, Daredevil, White Widow, Jeff, Mysterio
  • 3-cost: Debrii
  • 4-cost:Sentry
  • 5-cost:Professor X, Annihilus, Cannonball, Mockingbird

Commentary:

Junk was popular a bit ago, and it’s likely coming back into the meta once again. These decks weren’t great against Leech, but with less Leech in the meta, Junk is rising back up.

Junk is also a good deck against both of the top decks, Hela and Bounce. By clogging locations, you restrict both decks’ ability to put Power on the board.

While the deck isn’t as good as before, it’s looking to be a solid pick for the current meta.

Blink Leech – S-Tier

Blink Leech Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiRnVuY3J1c2hlciBQbHVzIiwiQ2FyZHMiOlt7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkJsaW5rIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJKZWZmVGhlQmFieUxhbmRTaGFyayJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSnViaWxlZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiS2xhdyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTGVlY2gifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik1hZ25ldG8ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik5lYnVsYSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTm9jdHVybmUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlF1YWtlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJSZWRHdWFyZGlhbiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiUmVkSHVsayJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiV2hpdGVXaWRvdyJ9XX0=
  • 1-cost: Nebula
  • 2-cost: White Widow, Jeff, Quake
  • 3-cost: Red Guardian, Nocturne
  • 4-cost:Jubilee
  • 5-cost:Klaw, Leech, Blink
  • 6-cost:Red Hulk, Magneto

Commentary:

When Leech was nerfed, most players expected the deck to fall off hard. While it did fall off quite a bit in play rate, the deck still appears to be quite good.

You can’t Leech into Blink anymore, but you can still get Leech from Blink/Jubilee. Leech on 5 also isn’t a terrible play if your opponent is playing Bounce/Hela. You can hit Hela or Hit-Monkey to greatly limit what those decks can do.

It’s possible the deck will continue to fall off, so we’ll see how things change going forward.

Loki – A-Tier

Loki Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiS2l0dHlQcnlkZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiUXVpbmpldCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU25vd2d1YXJkIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBbmdlbGEifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkNhYmxlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJKZWZmVGhlQmFieUxhbmRTaGFyayJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRWxzYUJsb29kc3RvbmUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlJlZEd1YXJkaWFuIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBZ2VudENvdWxzb24ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik5vY3R1cm5lIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTaGFuZ0NoaSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTG9raSJ9XX0=
  • 1-cost: Kitty Pryde, Quinjet, Snowguard
  • 2-cost: Angela, Cable, Jeff
  • 3-cost: Elsa Bloodstone, Red Guardian, Agent Coulson, Nocturne
  • 4-cost: Shang-Chi, Loki

Commentary:

Loki is still simply a good deck. You have good power with Angela + Elsa Bloodstone, and Loki gives you a ton of flexibility. The deck also has a lot of options.

You can run cards like Valentina, Mirage, Agent 13, etc. While Loki might not have the best numbers, you can never count this deck out.

Phoenix Force – A-Tier

Phoenix Force Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiR2hvc3RTcGlkZXIifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ikh1bWFuVG9yY2gifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik5pY29NaW5vcnUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkNhcm5hZ2UifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik11bHRpcGxlTWFuIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNYWdpayJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiVmVub20ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkRlYXRobG9rIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTaHVyaSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiVGhlUGhvZW5peEZvcmNlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJOaW1yb2QifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFybmltWm9sYSJ9XX0==
  • 1-cost:Ghost-Spider, Human Torch, Nico Minoru
  • 2-cost: Carnage, Multiple Man
  • 3-cost: Magik, Venom, Deathlok
  • 4-cost:Shuri, Phoenix Force
  • 5-cost: Nimrod
  • 6-cost: Arnim Zola

Commentary:

Phoenix Force continues to be a solid choice. There are rough counters to the deck like Professor X, but Shang-Chi is quite useless against Nimrod.

You can also play the version of the deck with The Living Tribunal over Magik, but that is up to you.

Patriot – A-Tier

Patriot Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU3F1aXJyZWxHaXJsIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJEYXp6bGVyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJHb29zZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTXJTaW5pc3RlciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTXlzdGVyaW8ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlBhdHJpb3QifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkJsdWVNYXJ2ZWwifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkJsaW5rIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNb2NraW5nYmlyZCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRHJEb29tIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJPbnNsYXVnaHQifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNhc3F1YXRjaCJ9XX0=
  • 1-cost: Squirrel Girl
  • 2-cost: Dazzler, Goose, Mister Sinister, Mysterio
  • 3-cost: Patriot
  • 5-cost: Blue Marvel, Blink, Mockingbird
  • 6-cost:Doctor Doom, Onslaught, Sasquatch

Commentary:

The change to Ultron resulted in a surge of Patriot decks. While the deck didn’t last long, Sasquatch is potentially breathing life into the archetype.

Instead of going for buffs like Ka-Zar, the deck uses Mysterio and Mister Sinister to discount Mocking bird. Mysterio also counts for 3 cards when discounting Sasquatch.

This specific deck is still fairly fresh, so we’ll see how it holds up over time.

Namora – B-Tier

Namora Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiRGVjayA5IiwiQ2FyZHMiOlt7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFybW9yIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJDYXB0YWluTWFydmVsIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJDcm9zc2JvbmVzIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJFbmNoYW50cmVzcyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTGl6YXJkIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJMdWtlQ2FnZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTmFtb3JhIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJOb2N0dXJuZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiUXVha2UifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNoYWRvd0tpbmcifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNrYWFyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJUeXBob2lkTWFyeSJ9XX0=
  • 2-cost: Shadow King, Armor, Quake, Lizard
  • 3-cost: Luke Cage, Nocturne
  • 5-cost: Captain Marvel, Enchantress, Crossbones, Typhoid Mary
  • 5-cost:Namora
  • 6-cost:Skaar

Commentary:

This deck uses the recently released Namora along with Skaar to output efficient Power on the board. By using Namora on 5-Power cards, you can turn them into 10-Power, discounting Skaar. This will ideally result in a 2-cost Skaar, allowing you to play an additional 4-cost on turn 6.

Namora hasn’t shot into the top of the meta, but as players explore more, the deck may continue to evolve.

Cerebro 3 – B-Tier

Cerebro 3 Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQmFzdCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSmVmZlRoZUJhYnlMYW5kU2hhcmsifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlF1YWtlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJSYXZvbm5hUmVuc2xheWVyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTZW50aW5lbCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiVVNBZ2VudCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQ2VyZWJybyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTXlzdGlxdWUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IktpbGxtb25nZXIifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik1vYml1c01Nb2JpdXMifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNoYW5nQ2hpIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJWYWxreXJpZSJ9XX0=
  • 1-cost: Bast
  • 2-cost: Jeff, Quake, Ravonna Renslayer, Sentinel, US Agent
  • 3-cost: Cerebro, Mystique, Killmonger, Mobius
  • 4-cost:Shang-Chi
  • 5-cost: Valkyrie

Commentary:

Cerebro 3 is once again popping back into the meta. There are a ton of 3-power cards you can utilize to spice up the deck like Invisible Woman, Luke Cage, etc.

The deck is surprisingly resilient with Enchantress/Rogue out of the meta. Tech cards like Killmonger, Shang-Chi, and Valkyrie are also quite valuable as they fit naturally into the deck’s engine.

Shuri – B-Tier

Shuri Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiWmVybyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRWJvbnlNYXcifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFybW9yIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJMaXphcmQifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNhdXJvbiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2h1cmkifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkVuY2hhbnRyZXNzIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJUeXBob2lkTWFyeSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiVGFza21hc3RlciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiVmlzaW9uIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJSZWRTa3VsbCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2hlSHVsayJ9XX0=
  • 1-cost:Zero, Ebony Maw
  • 2-cost:Armor, Lizard
  • 3-cost: Sauron
  • 4-cost: Shuri, Enchantress, Typhoid Mary
  • 5-cost:Taskmaster, Red Skull
  • 6-cost: She-Hulk

Commentary:

Shuri is an old deck that has recently come back into the meta. While the deck doesn’t do anything spectacular, it’s just simple and consistent at putting power on the board.

This deck easily competes for two lanes, while also having some room for tech like Enchantress against Ongoing decks. Enchantress synergizes with the deck to turn off things like Red Skull or Typhoid Mary, so its a natural inclusion.

Destroy – B-Tier

Destroy Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRGVhZHBvb2wifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik5pY29NaW5vcnUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlgyMyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQ2FybmFnZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiV29sdmVyaW5lIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIdWxrYnVzdGVyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJLaWxsbW9uZ2VyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJWZW5vbSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRGVhdGhsb2sifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNoYW5nQ2hpIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJLbnVsbCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRGVhdGgifV19
  • 1-cost:Deadpool, Nico Minoru, X-23
  • 2-cost: Carnage, Wolverine, Hulk Buster
  • 3-cost:Killmonger, Venom, Deathlok
  • 4-cost:Shang-Chi
  • 6+cost: Knull, Death

Commentary:

With less Leech in the meta, decks are putting Shang-Chi back in, which is quite bad for Destroy. Even still, the deck is extremely popular, so expect to see it in your games.

Replacements:

  • Arnim Zola
  • Taskmaster

Methodology

We’ve tried our best to evaluate these decks based on a few key factors:

  • Overall Strength: The first factor is simply how much Power a deck can put onto the board. At the end of the day, Marvel Snap boils down to a numbers game, and decks that can put high Power on the board will be strong.
  • Consistency:Consistency is quite hard to determine for Snap due to the snap mechanics. You can always retreat and make up for it if what your deck does is extremely powerful, albeit difficult to pull off. Even still, being able to enact a similar game plan repeatedly leans to an overall smoother climb.
  • Flexibility:For Marvel Snap, flexibility is somewhat equivalent to “surprise factor.” A deck is flexible if you have a multitude of options that your opponent cannot easily counter/predict. This means you aren’t always enacting 1 gameplan every game, but can adapt based on the situation.
  • Counterplay:Lastly, a deck should also be analyzed based on possible counters. If a deck has the highest ceiling but is easily countered, it may be difficult to win. Conversely, if a powerful deck has space to play it’s own tech cards, that will help it’s overall strength/ranking as well.

This wraps up our Marvel Snap Best Decks Tier List for the “Blink in Time” season. Stay tuned as we update this tier list as more time passes.

Good luck in your games, and thanks for reading!
