Description
Students demonstrate their understanding of the 3 states of matter using one of the two projects or assessment included in this resource. Each project aligns with NGSS standard PS 5-1-1. One project gives students a choice in which of the 5 they would like to complete. A second project option has students answering review questions about solid, liquid, and gas substances before completing 3 hands on activities to show their level of understanding through CER ( claim, evidence, reasoning ) responses of how particles behave in different phases of matter. Finally, a review sheet and 32 question assessment are included.
