DutiesUniversity of Iowa Health Care, Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences, is seeking a 100% IT Support Analyst (PIC1; 3A). The IT Support Analyst provides direct support, consultation, guidance, and identify technical solutions, supports daily operations, provides front-line services and resolves basic and complex user problems and concerns for the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences. Key areas of responsibility include maintenance, support/troubleshooting, consultation, implementation, training, and documentation relating to department information technology (IT) functions. Position duties include:
Performs routine installation, maintenance, and support of hardware and software for the Department of Ophthalmology.
Troubleshoots assigned applications and hardware.
Receives help desk requests and prioritizes work-orders.
Refers unresolved support requests to senior IT personnel.
Supports conference room A/V equipment and provides event support for departmental conferences.
Serves as liaison between technical staff and users to resolve basic problems and concerns.
Assists with support for diagnostic imaging devices
Assists with support of Ophthalmology computer equipment across the health care campus including but not limited to university campus, Iowa River Landing, Iowa Lions Eye Bank, Iowa KidSight, and HSSB.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience supporting workstations running Windows 7/10 and MS Office 2016/365.
Ability to independently install and troubleshoot software, hardware, and peripherals at the desktop level.
Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex workflow problems and recommend solutions.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
Ability to move and install IT equipment.
Desired Qualifications
Experience working with desktop hardware and software in a managed workstation environment.
Experience utilizing remote IT support tools.
Experience supporting Mac OS X.
Experience configuring iOS and Android devices.
Experience working in a Health Care IT environment.
Experience with wired and wireless networking and security concepts.
